Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
