Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the production, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" associated with the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public figures offered varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics recently. Talking on his program, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they revealed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser could have acted when the impulse to speak on the passing was made.
